North Bethesda Metro Site
The Transformation ContinuesA new 3 million SF, 14-acre project atop the North Bethesda Metro Station in Montgomery County, MD is awarded to master developer Hines.
A bold new vision for North Bethesda—an innovation district anchored by the University of Maryland’s Institute for Health Computing. This transit-oriented, mixed-use hub brings together cutting-edge research, community space, and a future-forward approach to placemaking.
As part of the RFP process with the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Interface worked with Perkins Eastman to create a series of illustrations to portray the vision for the Hines proposal for a life sciences campus and new apartment buildings adjacent to the North Bethesda Metro Station at Rockville Pike and Old Georgetown Road.
Interface has worked for years in the area as it has transformed from strip-mall dominated landscape to a walkable hub within Montgomery County, MD. Our other work in the area includes supporting the marketing of Pike & Rose for Federal and creating a marketing video for the The Pinnacle - North Bethesda by Silverstone.
