Interactive Design
Definition

Interactive design at IFMM extends beyond simple 2D screens and includes immersive, real-time environments that allow users to explore spaces virtually. We use motion, responsiveness, and spatial interaction to communicate complex ideas in a direct, experiential way.

Process

VR allows us to move beyond slide shows or films and into narrative journeys. We develop interactive tours that can be experienced on devices ranging from iPads to headsets like Oculus, making advanced visualization accessible in both casual and high-impact presentation settings. For retail environments such as Tysons Corner Center (developed by Macerich), these tools allow stakeholders to navigate spaces, understand layouts, and explore design intent before construction.

Similarly, portfolio-driven experiences like the Intuitive portfolio tour demonstrate how interactive environments can communicate brand, capability, and innovation in new ways and on new platforms. Users can move through curated spaces, access layered content, and engage with information at their own pace.

Outcome

No matter the experience, the focus remains on purposeful interaction — guiding users, revealing information progressively, and creating memorable engagement. By combining UX principles with immersive technology, we create interactive systems that are both high-functioning and optimized for different devices and contexts.
