McMillan Historic District
Interface worked with Vision McMillan to develop a brand identity for the new community built at McMillan. A community meant to activate this this long dormant corner of the District full of historic architecture and infrastructure.
McMillan Sand Filtration Site is a twenty-five acre decommissioned water treatment plant in northwest Washington, D.C. adjacent to the McMillan Reservoir. Interface worked to establish a brand for the development, an extension of the Bloomingdale and Stronghold neighborhoods. As part of the effort to prepare for the ground-breaking, Interface worked with Free Space Collective to develop a community photography project that wrapped the site and identified the scale and scope of the project.
